Your information
Español with Francis, operated by Francis, is responsible for the personal information used by this website. Privacy enquiries can be sent to contacto@españolwithfrancis.com.
Cloudflare Turnstile is used on contact, signup and website-unsubscribe forms to reduce automated abuse. Cloudflare receives technical browser, device and network information needed to provide that check. Cloudflare privacy policy.
Newsletter signup collects your first name, email address, signup source, the consent wording/version and confirmation time. Contact collects your name, email address, topic, message and consent confirmation. IONOS also processes technical information such as IP addresses and server logs when hosting and protecting the site.
Newsletter details are used with your consent to send the Spanish-learning emails you confirm. Contact information is used to manage and reply to your enquiry. The forms use keyed, pseudonymous identifiers derived from email and IP addresses to enforce abuse limits; the original IP address is not stored in the form rate-limit table.
IONOS provides the website hosting, database and email mailbox. Cloudflare provides the Turnstile security check. Google supplies Google Fonts, YouTube video players and YouTube thumbnails; lesson video players connect only after you allow YouTube content. Thumbnails, fonts and icons still make external requests. Font Awesome is loaded through the cdnjs content-delivery network. Information is not sold or shared with unrelated organisations for their own marketing.
Unconfirmed newsletter signups are deleted after seven days. Active subscriber details are kept while you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, newsletter copies are removed and a minimal pseudonymous suppression record is retained for as long as needed to honour the opt-out. Rate-limit records are deleted after 24 hours. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to manage the conversation and records; you may ask for a message to be permanently deleted.
You can unsubscribe immediately using the website form or any learning email. Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object to processing. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing and complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
The site does not intentionally use analytics or advertising cookies. It uses the PHP session cookie for form security and the ewf_preview cookie when pre-launch preview is deliberately enabled. Turnstile and the external services named above may process technical request information under their own policies. Your cookie choice is stored in this browser for six months. Optional YouTube players stay blocked until you allow them; you can change this using Cookie settings. A session preference remembers when you close the YouTube invitation. Language preferences are also stored locally.
The website is hosted by IONOS and served over HTTPS. Access controls, limited retention, database protections and backups are used to protect its records.
